Econet Wireless Burundi welcomes Mr. Ibrahima Houphouet Thiam to the Executive Team as Chief Sales Officer with effect from 1 September 2020.Ibrahima Houphouet Thiam

Thiam Ibrahima Houphouet Thiam has 22 years experience in the Telecoms Industry in various managerial positions where he acquired different skills in Marketing, Sales and Customer Services.

Ibrahima worked for different companies in West and Central Africa. He worked for Tigo Senegal as Distribution Manager, the Nokia Brand in Central Africa where he was managing 4 countries, Samsung Group (Dakar Office) where he was managing 11 countries in West Africa, and Expresso Senegal as a Sales Director. His last position before joining Econet Leo was Country Director of ATPS Africa Transactions Processing Services under the Proximo brand, a pioneer of payment aggregation in Senegal. 

Ibrahima holds a Diploma of High Technician in Communication and advertisement from the Vocational Training Institute of Senegal, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration-Marketing Quality from African Management Institute of Senegal (IAM).
